Zero tolerance

Editor, The News:

After reading P.W Evans' letter Aug. 17, I feel compelled to respond.

Evans wrote she has been "working in dioxin-contaminated soil for a quarter century and still takes no medications."

God bless Evans and grant her continued health. However, the fact that she is healthy does not make it OK for Dow Chemical to pollute our environment.

Evans is missing the point. The question is not how much dioxin is harmful; the question is, why is there any dioxin at all?

Dow Chemical needs to stop peeing on our legs and telling us it's raining.
